License Plate mount screw holes?

Finally received my plates. I removed the temporary tag from the rear plate mount, but I don’t see any holes for the screws. Are there retainers anywhere in the rear plate mount? Do I just use self-tapping screws wherever it lines up with the plate?

My rear temporary plate was a piece of plastic with screws (4) going into some plastic inserts.

This is an old thread, but I’m trying to determine the rear license plate screw spec is. I see length, but not thread info. Does anyone know? Thanks!
