Great. You just need somewhere with a 480v 3 phase outlet you can plug it into!

And a fork lift to get into your bed since it weighs at least 315 LBS.

Kind of insulting they charge an extra $1000 for the roll cage

For a vehicle service center that already has the commercial power available this would be a low cost solution compared to a permanent installation.

Could operate at reduced power for a vehicle equipped with maybe 15-18 kW generator. Could be a quicker service call to put in 20 to 50 miles range vs towing.

I like it. I can't imagine this would be for hauling around for self use.

Would it? I honestly don't know what a 50kW DCFC charger costs but I can't imagine that the guts of a portable version would be significantly different than a hard wired one. It's all the same except for the cart instead of a metal plate to attach it to the wall.

At that point it's going to be permanently attached to the vehicle because you sure as hell don't want a $20,000, 300 lb device falling off the truck (or "falling off the truck" if you know what I mean).

And aren't there already "mobile battery packs in a van" solutions for roadside assistance? I confess I've never needed one but I assumed the announcements I've seen for such things over the years made me think they were readily available. If they're not commonplace I bet the math doesn't pencil out vs just having a tow truck pick you up and take you to the closes DCFC. Since those ARE common and can help any car, not just an EV.
