The AirTag approach may be the best option I think in iOS your phone can point to the AirTag.

This would be super helpful in a noisy garage.

Also, you can do something similar by watching the Bluetooth connections on your phone. The following are pics of my Bluetooth connections at 200 yards, 50 yards, and 5 yards from the truck. Even though you cannot hear the truck at 50 yards, you know your are getting closer when more Rivian Bluetooth connections are established:

Every time I use a parking garage I always snap a photo of the nearest marked post/sign to my vehicle, and the elevator level when I get on the elevator. Makes it easy to backtrack. Turning around and looking behind you every time you go through a doorway is a great way to improve situational awareness in an unfamiliar locale. Documenting it with your phone camera makes it easy to track back.

LPT: Same strategy when traveling- snap a photo of my hotel room door number and I leave the labeled envelope behind when I head out. If I lose the keycard or it is stolen, nobody knows what room it is for without logging in to my phone. Buys a little security.
