Time to get new tires for 2022 R1S with 20k miles. 22” wheels. I’ve had to replace two of the original tires for unrepairable punctures 2 years ago and 1 year ago and discount tire just told me the remaining two original tires are due for replacement. All are Pirellis.
So:
1) would you replace two or all four?
2) what all season tires would y’all recommend? (Oklahoma, so some snow some rain, some heat, but usually not extreme.)

My priorities are extending my range and a quiet ride.
Thx!

I replaced my original Pirelli’s in August. I got the Continental terrain contact h/t (also 22”). So far I am about 2500 miles into them and they are good. I find them a bit quieter. For the first 1500-2000 miles the efficiency was really bad but it is starting to get better.
I got them on tirerack and they had a $110 rebate prepaid card too. Good price and all in all a good tire.
good luck!

There is a thread on the truck focused Hankook tires that fit.

I wish Hankook would make a compatible 22" in the EVO SUV tires, which I had on my Mach-e. Those were very, very efficient and very quiet. Not the best in the snow (just OK), and a traction suffered some, but the trade-off was worth it to me.

For range, the OEM tire has the least rolling resistance. Other replacement 22’s do not have sufficient load rating (most are 115) so you are left with the E load Defenders (119S) which are heavier and also cut down on range by a little. Ride would be improved though but make sure you use a higher pressure (55-60psi) since the LT/E load rating needs higher pressures if you get the 119S Michelins

Yes mopar is dodge/jeep dealership (Stellantis) if you have one give em a call. Tire offer link they might try to charge you for alignment but can't actually do it so just tell them you'll take it to rivian for that.

did you provide them pucks and instructions for doing a tire change or just buy the tires from them and did it yourself?

I provided the pucks and showed em where they go and said rivian recommends road force balancing the new tires which takes extra time but they didn't charge me any extra.

Aah ok thanks, I don't have the pucks and I'm not sure how accommodating the Jeep dealers in the Bay Area will be for a Rivian but I can swing by and check it out. Thanks for the tip.

I had terraincontact h/t on my Ram for the last 30k miles. They're good tires for traction in all conditions, low noise, but I saw my fuel economy drop a bit so that's the only drawback. Great tires otherwise and I would consider the A/T version too if you want a bit more aggressive look with a more road focused AT
