The message did say that they would be reaching out to MAX and Explore package holders to see if they want to switch their orders.

For you early MAX pack holders, I hope they offer the ability to convert to a LE since a lot of you gave up the chance of an LE for the MAX.

They specified 2018/2019 Max reservations. I'm curious when the cutoff will actually be. For example, I didn't actually put my money down until 2020. If it's going to add 6+ months to my delivery, I'd downgrade to a Large pack. I was really hoping to see my truck in 2022. I wonder if Rivian will give me that option?

As a fairly late RIT Preorder (May 2021), I'm a bit concerned my delivery window appears to be the same for much earlier R1T Preorder holders. Is it realistic that seemingly every Adventure R1T can be produced in this July - September window?

Adventure, large pack, from Boise, ID, ordered September 2021... delivery estimate Oct-Dec 2022. I would be happy with that. I was roughly 43k in line initially. I'd be curious what percentage of preorders are actually being converted and not canceled.

I wouldn't worry about it. It could mean any of the following:
1. They are projecting a steep production ramp for your order date
2. There weren't that may orders between your May date and the earlier dates, so the number they have to build to bridge that gap isn't that wide.

No offence to you but this is the crap that has pissed me off today. I ordered Dec 4, 2018 and have the same window. These guys are total amateur hour.

Yeah I think that's correct. The windows are more likely to shift for everyone if they can't ramp rather than on a more customer by customer basis. (i.e. - if Samsung can't deliver batteries, we're all pushing back anyway etc)

The large vague window is an indication of how far away they are from really knowing what they can pull off next year.

How many R1T Adventures + LEs do we think are represented in that cumulative timeframe? 25k? Seems like a very aggressive estimate to produce that many in the next 9 months given current production capabilities.

Only Rivian would know that.
Someone else theorized that there would be order spikes around positive press events. From the LA auto show until this past May, I can't think of that may events other than opening the configurator and maybe Tank turn?
