I know people like to complain around here and sure Rivian has experienced some growing pains with service wait times. But I recently got a 12V battery message on my app and in the car. Called and they set a mobile service appoint for two days later. Guy showed up, replaced it under warranty, checked the tire pressure and everything else and was gone in 30 minutes. Great experience. So, just wanted to give a bit of positivity. Still loving my R1S Launch and have had no issues at all, and every day am glad it's not a Tesla. LA area, fwiw.

Mobile service is the way to go, if it doesn't require fixed rig at the service center to do the work.

I've had 3 mobile services at home and they all have been much faster appointment time than at the service center and great.

Very much with Tesla in SoCal.

Yes, when you get service it is generally pretty good. The problem is when you need to take the truck in for non-critical items. The wait time is multiple months. Good to know that the 12v can be done via mobile. I had Tesla mobile service do the battery on my Model S a few years ago and it was a good experience as well. 30 minutes is pretty quick!

I'm also in L.A. and so far I've had 2 mobile visits (spare tire install and some rattling) and 1 SC visit (7,500 mile service) and all have been fine.

I planned ahead with my 7,500 mile service i.e. scheduled my appt about 4-6 weeks ahead of time based on when I would hit the 7,500 mile mark.
