For those who enjoy the engineering side of new EVs, this just released video by Sandy Munro of a teardown of the VW ID4 motor is worth 20 minutes. Their approach eliminates some of the components meaning fewer things to fail, and Sandy does some comparisons to Tesla's design.

Wow, thanks for sharing. This does a good job (for me at least) of demonstrating how daunting a challenge Rivian has in developing (from scratch) a new platform. Yes, they've hired a LOT of expertise which is helpful - but still.....
