First article I’ve seen on this

I knew going into ordering a my R1T quad motor that I’d have some envy for what was announced today but thinking about how my 24 is spec’d

el cap
22 sport dark
Large battery
Full stealth wrap
Power tonneau cover
Tow hooks, etc

And what I’m paying for it ~800 for a 2 year lease (10k miles), I have to imagine that a comparable Tri motor would be around 4-500
more a month given the “newness” demand and lack of incentives?

Between the $7,500 credit, the $7k it would have cost for the stealth wrap, the $4,000 conquesting credit, the $4k price drop that just happened in late may, the PTC that’s probably going to run a few grand…I’m not sure it’s worth some of the suspension/led/camera/electrochromatic glass upgrades to justify what I’m sure will be a dramatic difference. In 2 years I can just get the gen 2 for what I’m sure will be a more favorable leasing situation…right…right?!

You are not wrong. A lot of people were getting 0% interest leases but I am guessing most will be paying $400/mo at least in rent fees on a 2025 lease. So payments will be that much more then any price differences on top.

Uhh, duh? You think those lease incentives over the last 2 months have been out of the goodness of their heart? They want them gone because the new vehicles are more profitable.

They also pulled a lot of stuff out and made them options (the new Driver+, Camp Speaker, Air Compressor, Tow hooks, etc). Also, efficency went way up, so the battery shrunk.

That's why many said just buy the old one, those new features are mostly cost savings for Rivian, and you're getting less for the same price.

Pretty much Dual Motor Standard battery will cost a bit more than 2024 Quad Motor.

Gonna do a full post once I take delivery tomorrow, but I signed a lease for a 2024 R1T DM this week, the residual is 59% and the MF is around 0.00172 for a monthly rent payment of $183. It ain't the 0 MF and sexual favors deal they put on the '23s, but not terrible either. Looking forward to the truck.

I was actually comparing my 2023 QM DEC 2023 purchase to the new Tri and its a $14k price increase right off the top not including any options. The features on the refresh are cool but not worth the premium. I am very happy with my lease and very happy for Rivian. They did not F over the LE and QM buyers like tesla does! This will help maintain value long down the road. I really like the 22" aero wheels, may need to pick a set of them up. I am also not a fan of the limited interior option on the TRI motor version.

I bet if 2024's are left by October and I think its possible you will see massive deals to move them.

Taking delivery in 1 week. R1T Dual large at $82K ($84K with destination fees).

Same configuration with the 2025 came out to be $89K.

Now, I might pay $7k for the newer generation but I also am assuming the monthly cost will be higher. Wish I could see how much higher but I guess there is no way know for a while and my guide won't know either.
