Just took delivery of my R1T. I had driven one at the first mile event but having the one built the way I want is amazing. Probably my favorite vehicle. I have 2 other electrics so I am not new to the way they drive but this truck for as heavy as it is amazing.

I am really glad I held out for ocean coast. I was first contacted in April about my build and shortly after was told if I changed my interior I could have my truck in 30 days. I wasn’t willing to comprise and glad I didn’t. I have been waiting since June of 2019 what’s a few more months for the one I really wanted.

Delivery was easy but not as easy as Tesla. My last Tesla I just had to tell them park in the driveway or on the street didn’t even need to be home. Rivian requires wet signatures. Even with that far easier than buying at a dealership. Picked up a BMW i4 in July and was at the dealership for 2 hours. Delivery almost didn’t happen today as they called to say that a rock cracked my windshield on the way to my house. I was able to get them to deliver anyway and they will replace at a later date. I already have window tinting, ceramic coating and PPf appointments for Monday. I really didn’t want to cancel. The delivery person confirmed they are working on a dual motor tonneau cover and when my breaks they will eventually replace it with the updated. She said if it breaks but after reading this forum I’m sure it will break. All weather floor mats should be shipping out soon as I had that with my build and waiting on the gear shuttle. Wall charger showed up 2 weeks ago.

Looks beautiful! Congrats!

Your driver seat base is.coming apart like mine did. There's a screw underneath the seat that's not tight enough holding the two plastic base prices together, so they separate.

Its a pain to get to and I had to basically epoxy puddy the two pieces together.

They actually covered this in one of the Munro videos, where they tore down the seats. That's an intentional seam, to supply range of motion for adjusting the seat.

My passenger seat isn't like that. It's a flush fit and the parts don't separate while getting in and out.

Actually I think @koersontap is right. I had the same concern and discussed it with a tech on a mobile service visit. That seem will open and close as the seat adjusts in different ways:

I have almost 10k miles and passenger seat is flush and driver seat would come apart (further and further as time goes) and ultimately stayed that way. I place my seats in the same position on both side because I like them to look the same within the cab.

The plastic parts do have a slide type piece the allows them to come together, but I've raised the seat and the screw that also holds them in place seems lose to me, but I can't torque it enough (angle and space).

If it is designed that way (sounds like it is) it doesn't wear well and looks atypical compared to any vehicle I've owned.

If plastic trim at the base of your seat is together and flush and then splits apart, and eventually stays that way over time, I don't think it's a good design.

My two cents and I've already done my own patch to fix it.

That's fair, I wasn't commenting about your specific truck. I was just pointing out that separation is expected based on the design and the video was taken on the loaner I currently have which has less than 4k miles. Curious to see if my truck shows what you describe since I have about 18k miles.

Perfectly normal. The seat trim was designed this way.

This is the new ocean coast with the forest edge wood trim. In my opinion the darker wood is a better look in the truck.
