I took delivery of this beautiful R1S in September, the car is amazing unfortunately I'm not going to be able to keep it. This has 1858 miles on it right now. Panels have excellent alignment. No software or mechanical issues at all.

Well done presentation, if I did not already have one, I'd buy it now. I bought mine used with 12,000 mi. the main issue is short life of front tires. The other stuff just details. R1's are fantastic vehicles. Maybe a bit moody, but hey spouses are just that way, no species or gender implied.

Agree the ocean coast is beautiful, even better in person. But for outdoor sports and general upkeep I like the darker interior, just easier to keep clean in my opinion

Obviously, only @teledoc can say for sure, but they look like Canvasbacks. I have them in my Telluride and can't say enough good things about them and dealing with the company is great. Not inexpensive but IMO, the quality and fit make them good value for money.

Now back to the subject of the post: Very nice R1S @teledoc, good luck with the sale.

Yep, it's the Canvasback cargo cover with the bumper flap add on. Amazing fit, so glad I bought it. Took the kids up to Alta yesterday and was able to put ski boots and gear on it without worrying about getting the carpet wet. A little expensive for sure but well worth it!

Yep, still for sale. But I will say that the longer I keep it the more I'm starting to think I'm a complete idiot for selling it. The capabilities of this car keep amazing me more and more every day. I took my son skiing up at Alta yesterday, winds were blowing 50 mph, snowing at 2 inches an hour all day long. An hour before we were done skiing I turned the heat up to max, defroster on high, all seat heaters on. It used 3% of the battery to bring the car up from 25 degrees to 80 degrees and windows were all cleared. The car was completely buried in snow and just pulled out like it was on dry ground. It was a complete whiteout driving down the canyon but the R1S handled the conditions perfectly!
I've got some wiggle room on the price if you're interested, either way you will not be disappointed when you get your own!

The reason for selling mostly boils down to having so much money tied up into one vehicle. I reserved this one over 2 years ago and didn't really realize it would have taken so long to get it. Now I am faced with the reality of having 2 boys about to become driving age and needing cars for them. Seems like the more sensible thing to do would be to sell the Rivian and buy a couple of cheap Subaru's or a Prius for them to use. Then again I have worked my ass off for years to be able to afford something like this, maybe they should just keep walking to school

After using the R1S for what it was meant to be used for (driving in the mountains!) I've decided to not sell it. It's just too good! If anyone is on the fence about pulling the trigger on an R1S, just go for it, this thing will not disappoint you!
