No more street names on driver screen map

Folks, I know there have been one or two other threads about this. I wanted to start a new one to see if anyone who has had street names disappear from their driver screen map, has then had them restored. I heard from Rivian Service that a software reset should fix it. No luck there, or with a full reset. The street names were gone after a monthly OTA update 2 or 3 months ago.

I lost street names on the driver's display (except for when Navigation is actively giving me directions) with 2024.07.03 and I didn't get them back with 2024.11.02.

Dave, thanks. And thanks for the saw version number that removed the street addresses. I don’t have street names while navigating. Landmarks like creek names are still in the map.

Chatted with a very helpful Rivian Service person who did some research on this and got back to me saying that it was a decision Rivian made to remove street names from the small map on the driver’s screen. S/he submitted a feature request to put street names back this smaller map. So, for anyone who would like to see street names back on the smaller map on the driver’s screen, please consider chatting or calling Rivian Service to make this request.

Received a phone call last evening from Rivian Service saying that, rather than the missing street names being a decision, this is a known issue that Rivian is fixing as part of the next OTA update. I have a feeling that this latest info is the legit situation given that Rivian called me. We’ll see what happens. But I can say this - EVERYTHING I have experienced with Rivian Service has included excellent follow-up.

At least you all have maps. Mine have been "offline" for the better part of the year and no route guidance either. Mobile service couldn't fix, service center appt at the end of the month.

I've been suffering from the issue of not being able to see the street name since the March update, not only with my R1T but also with the R1S my wife drives. We have a service appointment scheduled for next week for issues with water not draining from the driver's seat door and dashboard rattling, and squick noise from steering wheel. I asked them to make a note about the problem of not being able to see the street name.

BOOOOOOOO!! Well, At least we have Rivians in which the little map doesn’t have street names. ?
