On the same boat. First half of 23 to me means June 30th or sometime after. I may even add Silverado to my mix. CT is a long shot for me (minimum 3-4 years if everything goes right and it rarely does). Lightening is the more likely option to happen before Rivian. By 2023 we will likely be salivating over EVs we have not heard of yet and may choose to cancel Rivian reservation to wait for something more shiny. Fast production is name of the game and I am not sure if Omicron is on board with that. It will be interesting to see where we will be in a year.
I am actually OK with my window if I get mine around March 2023 because most of what I know about Rivian is from folks on line, not Rivian. CS is only good for folks that have never heard of Rivian and can’t find their website which incidentally how you get to CS. There will be a while before there is a first drive in my neck of the wood and chances are there will not be any R1S Explore to test drive. So I will have to wait for someone else to get it first. It may be a year before I find out about some cost cutting measure on Explore I didn’t know about.
That said, as much as I hate dealing with dealers, if Ford knocks on my door and give me 2022 date, I may take it.

I was already on the fence about switching to the Large pack and went ahead and did that...we'll see if/how that affects the delivery date.
