Has anyone paired the forest green paint with the Ocean coast and dark wood interior on a gen 2 R1S? How’s it look?

have it, and it's phenomenal.
Thanks, my 2023 R1S quad, forest green with the green interior was totaled a couple of months ago and I am in the process of replacing it with another R1 S in green and wasn’t sure whether the light blue in the ocean coast interior would work with the green. They don’t offer the green interior I had with my previous R1S. Thanks again for the input.

You’re considering the combo I wanted. Ended up settling for El Cap with ocean coast and dark walnut based on availability. (Looks great too.)

FWIW, range wheels look great with either of those exterior colors.

Did you go with the performance upgrade? The good angel on my left shoulder said you’re getting old and go with the more conservative package where the bad Angel on my right shoulder said “you’ve gotta be kidding me, get the performance upgrade in fact go with the tri”. I’m listening to my left shoulder I think.

Thanks. I’m vacillating on adding the performance upgrade. Did you opt for it?

I’m a cautious person and it’s important to drive responsibly. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have some fun too. You don’t have to be a maniac to enjoy the quickness of the R1. I’d recommend the performance or the Tri. I didn’t get the performance because it wasn’t available from the shop at the time but I am planning to add it as Rivian says it will be available as an over the air upgrade. (Note to Rivian: WAITING!)

The dual is plenty quick and fun but I would like to have sport mode for that extra bit of responsiveness in some situations. I would have hemmed and hawed between the dual and the tri if the tri had been available at the time. I like the extra range with the dual. Of course, that only applies if you are in all-purpose. And I think the Tri in conserve is close to the dual in all purpose. (Conversely, I would guess the dual in sport is not much more efficient than the Tri in sport.) Plus, the Tri’s interior is a nice step up. (I do love the dual’s interior though.)

Also, I have a weird use case where the range is more important to me than is generally the case. I would think the Tri’s range would be fantastic for most people.

TL;DR: Dual, Performance Dual, Tri: Three great options. If you can afford to splurge, do so. If not, save your dollars and you’ll still have a ton of fun with a regular dual motor. It still feels like an amazing vehicle to me.

Thanks for all your comments and I placed my order yesterday. I went with the forest green and the ocean coast interior on the R1S max. I may well miss the speed I had with my old quad motor but I will have it as an option that I can pull the trigger on later. Thanks again.
