My OnePlus 11 took a major OS update to Android 15 in January, after which point phone-as-a-key has worked maybe only 50% of the time. Cycling Bluetooth always makes it work for a while, but often 15 minutes or so into the drive I'll often get the "Key no longer detected" warning on the driver display while driving.

OxygenOS is aggressive with battery optimizations but ..
  • Settings > Battery > Power Saving settings > Sleep Standby Optimization is toggled off
  • Settings > Battery > Power Saving settings > App Battery Management > Rivian > Allow background activity is toggled on
  • Settings > Battery > Power Saving settings > App Battery Management > Rivian > Optimize battery use is set to "Don't Optimize"
  • Settings > Battery > Battery Mode is set to "Balanced" but no impact when I've tried "High Performance Mode"
I have an open ticket with Rivian support, nothing helpful yet. Appreciate reports from other OnePlus 11 people and any workarounds tried, e.g. some kind of Automate task that cycles Bluetooth under certain conditions.

Downgrading to OxygenOS 14 fixed PaaK on my OnePlus 11.

A mere factory reset/data wipe and re-install of the Rivian app alone on OxygenOS 15 did not.

But the process to downgrade to 14 was a huge pain, requiring not just the data wipe but also a bunch of scouring to find packages on an unofficial site and a discord channel, then going through a factory reset to wipe data, then setting it all back up again.

For my daily phone I can't trust the unofficial packages, or generally an unpatched phone, so during the process I moved to a new Samsung S25 which runs Android 15, and found PaaK works on it fine.

In every other way the OnePlus 11 is more than enough phone for me and I'd move back if I found out the software team fixed it on the latest OS. Relegated to my gadget drawer until then.
