Order process clarification

Hi Everyone,

I placed my pre-order early January of 2022, initially a Max pack but changed it to large a few months later. I received a delivery window of Jan/Feb 23 a week ago. But I decided to change update my config and changed colors. The delivery date changed to "Pending Estimate". Two days ago, I received an email to confirm my config, then later the day I received my 8 step. My portal also list my VIN

Does this mean I am about to get my truck soon? I honestly did not expect to get it until mid year of 2023. A guide was assigned to me, but she has not reached out yet. But I did email her to confirm that there was no mistake before I sort everything out, including financing.

Do a search on Confirm or 8 step and you'll see various forums of people's estimates from where you are now to delivery. We have seen as little as <7 days from 8 steps to taking delivery to as long as 2 months, I believe. Depends on where the truck is and where you are. Your guide might know more, but generally the forums give better information.

Well, this is awesome news, albeit terrible timing. I just changed my roof two months ago. I used my Amex to take advantage of the 0 interest rate they were promoting. I thought I had it perfectly timed for it to be paid off and my credit to recover.

I'd guess your original config went into the store, and you got one out of the store (without knowing it). All good though as this is still a new truck!

exactly. I just met a guy who lives 6 blocks from me who received his R1T last July... his order was placed June 2021. smh
