Can confirm sticker was gone. (Not surprising.)

Also, that RAN had two out-of-service stalls when I arrived yesterday (all were working last Friday.) Including the trailer stall, which was a bit of a pain. Thanks to the nice other Rivian owner who offered to give up the next stall over so I could pull in there, as the next stall over would be the "trailer cause the least blocking" of the working stalls.

Thankfully, mall security was understanding. Came over to ask how long I'd be - "20-30 minutes" - and said that was fine. He knew the trailer stall was broken, had been since Monday, they had a ticket in to Rivian.

And while I was charging, a mobile Rivian tech came out to fix them.

I still get nervous while transitioning from the road to the beach as often time there is some pretty deep sand. Last time I had it in all purpose mode and it got a bit squirely.

On the way out I put it in sand mode and it was pretty darn smooth. It mostly seemed to damped the throttle inputs a lot.

I did see another person in a regular SUV getting stuck but they were quickly rescued by some kids in a jacked up 4x4.
Had my first "stuck" moment in the Rivian - Tierra Del Mar. Got onto the beach no problem, got stuck trying to leave later due to ultra-soft sand with LOTS of ruts from other vehicles getting stuck. Had my tires aired down, was in soft sand mode, no help. A couple kids (teens/early 20s) playing on the beach nearby helped push me out. I wasn't their first, I wasn't their last. (Saw a lifted F-250 get stuck requiring their help while I was airing my tires back up on the pavement.)

Very nice trip log, family adventure and travel story. Thank you for sharing.

Being a Pacific NW native and resident of Oregon for over 35 years I had to chuckle at your pronunciation of some of the local “native” American names 😎.

You can be assured it is quite common and you are in the majority.

Looking forward to Part 2.
OH, now I have to watch the video !

Damn. That’s interesting when I went there one owner couldn’t charge on 2 of the chargers as well.

Damn. Interestingly enough when I first charged there one of the chargers was down. Another day I saw another owner try 2 and no dice. One of the very rare times a Rivian charger gave me issues.

Yea some of that soft sand can be tricky and you can get in pretty deep fast. Thankfully you had help to get unstuck!

Only a few.
At least he didn't say Ory-gone :)

I enjoyed getting to meet them for lunch on their way over to Central Oregon. Gave him a little flavor of Stayton ....
