OTA updates from rivian dot com?

Will the vehicles have a constant connection to rivian over the Internet, through the nearest cell phone tower?

That is, is there a built-in radio, in effect, in the EVs that uses a pre-paid service to access rivian over the net, for OTA updates?

Tesla has both cell and WiFi connections. I’d assume Rivian would also support both for OTA, but who knows.

In a survey they sent me a long time ago, they asked if I would have wifi access where I parked my vehicle. So I think they plan on doing it via the internet, at least as the primary method.

It has a cell connection and wifi for OTA updates. Updates are supposed to be free, but I haven't seen any word as to whether an always-on cell connection will be free or additional. If it can be used for media, I'd be surprised if it was free.
