Owners' experience with original jack

I'm curious about other owners' experience with the original jack. I tried using it to raise the car and the ground was uneven and it bent the jack out of shape. Of course it isn't usable anymore. It's doubtful that the ground will always be nice and level when the jack is needed to change a tire. In spite of that, should I order a new jack to replace it? It's better than nothing, right?

I would not trust any bent/deformed jack, especially with a vehicle as heavy as a Rivian. Not planning to use the OEM jack - I have the revised version. Here’s the setup I used to change from my 20” AT winter set to my 3-season 21” wheels.

EVSportline 6-ton bottle jack
EVSL aluminum billet jack puck
ARB jack base (15,400lbs rated)
And a 1” thick wooden table top needed to change the rear but not front wheels.

I also have the 200 foot-pound torque wrench, longer breaker bar, and rim-protecting deep well socket from EVSL.

The factory jack is strictly emergency use only. Bent means the manner in which it was used (load that wasn’t level) exceeded its parameters (made of steel for this very reason, deformation before catastrophic failure). Do not use it again. Switch to a reputable bottle jack, of at least 3-ton capacity, for ease of use and portability. Keep in mind max lift height as you shop for one and you mostly will need to also buy a jack pad and or saddle extension. Pad is recommended regardless, for better stability. With scissor jacks and uneven ground, one needs to pay attention to which way the ground tilts and orientation of jack.
