Just noticed this today, pretty clearly a fault in the paint since it goes around the whole opening. Anyone else have this issue? I'm going to open a ticket.
If it’s just this specific sensor then you may have bumped something or someone may have bumped you right in that spot. But if it’s on multiple sensors then have a warranty appt.
To update this, Rivian has approved a warranty repair for the local Rivian Certified shop to repaint the area. We'll see what the quality of work looks like, but Rivian can't control that. Smooth process, emailed Rivian with photos and an estimate from the shop, and assessment from the shop that it was not damage but faulty paint adhesion. Rivian sent a check to the shop through their system to complete the work. Just waiting to get it scheduled now.
I wonder if this is covered under the 1 year "adjustment" period. I have this on one of my forward sensors, and am 2 weeks away from the end of my first year of ownership.
