I am looking to run some wires under the dashboard, wondering if anyone has removed the large plastic panel under dash that extends the length of the cabin, or removed the smaller panel below that on the passenger side

I figured it out, in case anyone else comes across this.

First you remove the panel under the dash, just above the footwell. This panel has a light and surrounds the knee airbag. it comes off with two allen screws. It has some clips but they come off easily.

You have to do this on passenger and driver side, and when the panels are off it reveals the screws for the main panel that extends across the vehicle.
