I am awaiting my Delivery email from Rivian now that I submitted all the required steps and payment. I will be picking up in Atlanta and driving it down to Santa Rosa Beach Fl. There are already quite a few Rivian’s here so I will not be all alone. I am hoping that Rivian eventually opens up a SC nearer than Orlando Or Tampa. Tesla has a Pensacola service location so Rivian might be looking there but Tallahassee would be equally as good as well. Anyway my 2024 Limestone w/OC and 21in brights will be here soon.

Welcome from another Panhandle Rivian owner. See you around 30A sometime in your new ride. I almost got your color but ended up with an LA Silver R1S instead.

I'm in Gulf Breeze. Would welcome a Pensacola SC. I have limestone. Love the color. Great truck.

Hello neighbors,

Santa Rosa Beach guy here too. Musset Bayou.

I am making this Atlanta pilgrimage myself next week to pickup a long awaited Limestone S. I'm making a weekend out of it so I can cruise around Atlanta for a day or so after pickup and try to shake out any issues before I get back to the beach. This will be my first EV. Any advice?

The lack of a service center is in the back of my mind but it's not enough of a turnoff for me to not stroke the check. I read somewhere... Or maybe someone at Rivian told me... That a Jacksonville service center is definite. Tallahassee or Pensacola would be great since I'm in those places anyway.

Anyway, see you all around sowal. Maybe we should meetup?

We live in St. Louis, but will be in Santa Rosa Beach for the last 2 weeks of February. Keep an eye out for a Black R1S!

Navarre here. Should get 2024 R1T next week in Atlanta (closer than Orlando). Glacier white with ocean coast / dark ash (black interior a non-starter for us here in panhandle). I rarely see any Rivians (R1T or R1S), but hope to see more soon. R2 reservation holder, so hoping to get in early on one of those.

I have a 24 R1S and my husband has a 22 R1T and we're always in FWB, but live in SRB.

I’m also in Navarre. I assume that Rivian said picking up in Atlanta was mandatory? I’ve been looking at buying before the end of the year so curious.

Odd the Bucees in Auburn is on of only a few without fast charging? That's bizarre, they host Tesla and/or Mercedes fast charging almost everywhere else.....

Nope, I requested Atlanta because it’s closer by >100 miles. We had an afternoon pickup in ATL and drove to Prattville, AL, post-delivery. Stayed at Tru by Hilton, and used NACS to J1772 adapter to charge (for free) to 85% for drive home. I’ve tested a Lectron Vortex NACS to CCS and it works at Buc-ees in Robertsdale, AL and Gulf Breeze Superchargers. I’m not regretting buying a Rivian R1T.

Nice! ATL isn’t a bad day trip. The fact that the SC’s are available with the adaptor is huge. I drive a lot by the Buc-ees in Robertsdale so good to know. Do you know if Rivian has mobile service capability around our area? Keep enjoying your Rivian! Hope to be in one soon.

I may have spoken imprecisely. Rivian is NOT delivering NACS adapters with the vehicle. I saw a coupon code for Lectron around Independence Day and BOUGHT MY OWN. Lectron and A2Z make the two most popular. Lectron calls theirs a “Vortex” and that’s what I bought and have now used twice. Note: there are many reports of the Vortex adapter sticking onto the NACS cable, and mine did out-of-the-box. But I used it enough on a NACS plug to loosen it up. It also helps to lift up slightly when disconnecting. I didn’t notice any “sticking” either time I used it in real life. I have no idea when Rivian will send me the “official” adapter. It’ll be nice to have.

The delivery guy said Rivian DOES have mobile service personnel in the Panhandle and I hope I never see one. But it’s good to know if I do need service, I don’t have to (necessarily; depends on the service) to ATL.

Now for the good news: the powered tonneau cover that I was told I’d have to return to the ATL SC to have installed in December WAS INSTALLED AND ON THE VEHICLE. Works perfectly and it’s pretty neat.

Great to hear about mobile service, if necessary. Good info on the adaptor as well. Hopefully the powered tonneau cover coming installed now is the new norm. Enjoy your ride!
