Yeah, I get that.. but for instance the two 12v battery idea was a failure, the powered tonneau cover was a failure, we have noisy "tocking" half-shafts, fuses you can't by in the USA, HVAC that pushes heat when you set it to 75 and it's 100F outside and vents that can't direct the air high enough because of the design they chose to use vs. trying it, make corrections and come up with something that works before putting it in to production. There are simple systems and common items that manufacturers have been using for years... for a reason... they work.Respectfully speaking, progress involves trying things and making mistakes. If everyone thinks only "within the box" there will be no progress.
I'm all for progress... we have 3 EV's in our household and only 1 ICE vehicle at this point.. I have 43 solar panels on my roof and a $0.00 electric bill. Progress is necessary for our survival.. but doing something just to be different isn't always the prudent thing to do because you make mistakes that others solved years ago.
