Honestly the whole jack system on the Rivian with puck(s), (scissor) Jack, and block underneath is a death trap of Jenga. They should make the mobile service guys use this instead of the off-road floor jack. They obviously don't trust it. With a vehicle this heavy, changing a tire on uneven surfaces is a recipe for damage and doing a repair to the vehicle is risking injury or death.

Quick word of warning: I got this off Amazon, and the product description lists the wrong size. It says it has a 22mm socket, but when I received it, it doesn't. Glad Amazon has a relatively painless return policy.
A nylon collared socket + breaker bar + torque wrench would be best IMO.

Sorry about that. I actually bought one from Harbor Freight. I shouldn't have made that Amazon recommendation. I figured some people might not have HF nearby.

Not your fault! The listing clearly says 22mm, multiple times! I guess part of the reason why Amazon has such a permissive return policy.

Thanks everyone. I think I"m mostly sorted here.

I'm carrying the following with the spare:
1. Maxpower 2-piece levered lug wrench
2. Rigor 22mm non-marring lug nut socket.
3. Torin 10T bottle jack (in a plastic box in case it leaks)
4. 2 Magjaxx jack pucks
5. A couple of 2x4" wood blocks for height

Cheap and easy hold-down if you want that.

Thanks for the link to this. I've confirmed the bolt is metric 10mm x 1.5 thread, I'm just not sure how long the screw should be (or if there is max length before it hits something) or how wide of a washer/plug I need to really secure the spare.

I'm not sure if you're asking something, or confirming that my post answers it. But, it does, those are the exact sizes that fit, as I'm using it right now (with the 20" off road wheel).

Yeah, I didn't really ask the question I was thinking - using a 21" as a spare:
1. Is the linked screw long enough to clear the height of the wheel but short enough not to bottom out at whatever is at the end of the spare tire well? Sounds like the answer should be "yes" to both?

2. Is the screwhead wide enough to secure the wheel down by itself, or do you need some kind of large washer to get over the diameter of the center cap?

I am using a 21' spare too. The bolt I bought is 120mm long and I have a 1/4" aluminum disc that I bought at an industrial metal supply that's near me to hold down the wheel. My collapsible lug wrench set has a socket that fits the bolt

My 2025 R1T with 22" wheels uses a 21mm socket.

1. I'd expect the offset to be the same or very close, so it would fit. I cannot verify that.

2. No, you need a giant washer, which is what I linked to... The pipe plug is your giant plastic washer with an exact fit.
