When I first placed my order on Nov 29th 2018, I also thought the front end looked ridiculous.
It has since grown on me and several people have actually commented that they like the lights. I now like them also.
Took me a while to warm up to the lights but that is what makes Rivian unique. Love the lights and done with car play..?

R1S - Adventure edition - Quad - Silver. 1850mi. 1/2 mo old

LOVE the Riv. LOVE IT!. But I cannot get over the way the front end looks. Hate the lights. So much so that I park it so that when I walk up to the vehicle I approach it from the back.

Is this feeling going to pass?
Wait, is this the same post as over on Reddit? You've been staring at pictures of the thing for 3 years. Go get a cyberduck.

I’m not the best person to come up with a solution because I don’t see the problem, but if I rip a page out of more aggressive automotive design, maybe some creative use black wrap could give it more of an edge. I don’t know if something like this makes it better or worse for you, but I thought I’d give it a try (2 pieces of electrical tape for proof on concept) and snap a pic. If you mirrored it on the other side it would look appropriately scowl-like if you’re going for aggressive.

Whether you like the headlights or not, they define the Rivian brand. It's not easy to have your brand stand out in the automotive crowd, but the Rivian does.

Couldn't agree more, I've grown to LOVE the design language from Rivian the more I see these trucks/SUVs in person

Futuristic, stands out from the pack, without being ridiculous like the Cybertruck

It's a classic look ?! Unless it's a money thing, keep it for a bit and see how serious the issue is to you over time.

When the Teslas came out I had a real problem with the front end look since there's no radiator grill. It's certainly for aero dynamics. I just had to keep thinking, "remember the 911. It'll be ok." Change is hard when the lights are normally side by side. Imagine the start menu getting changed on your computer.
