The stadium lights are a defining feature of the R1.

That horizontal rendering just looks like the Lordstown Endurance -- not something I'd want to be affiliated with, at this point.

I'm inclined to disagree. The endurance doesn't have the light bar connecting the headlights.

My wife hates the vertical lights. If they were horizontal, she would probably want an R1S for herself. So I'd be out another big ass pot of gold. But then I wouldn't be split on getting one or the other. So... I'm not sure which I prefer. ?

I voted vertical but either is fine. There are other things about the R1S that have me in line.

Performance, motor layout, off road capability, size, towing, etc…

My husband doesn’t like the vertical headlights, either, but they aren’t a deal-breaker. I’m fine with them either way though I’m hoping the function of the lighting benefits from the vertical arrangement when it comes to high/low (main/dipped) beam performance.

I chose the vertical lights bc it’s different. I do wish they would have made the front of the EV a little more intimidating. Then again that quaint look gives it a sleeper appearance.

for some reason they remind me of Thomas the train when they're vertical.

I was not a huge fan of the vertical lights at first, but they've grown on me.

Supposedly they're adaptive as well, so maybe there is some technical benefit to the vertical arrangement.

I wonder how it would look with the stadium lamps horizontal under the DRL.

Headlights look a little goofy at first, but not terrible.

I'm not a huge fan of the little brake lights in the back. Seems disproportionate for the size of the vehicle but not a deal breaker by any means
