Ok so I have had my R1T for about 5 months and 6500 miles. I am loving the truck in spite of some of the valid requests for fixes in things. When I first got the truck it was fall and I was hauling items and using the truck bed and tonneau quite a lot. Worked fine but I was gritting my teeth each time I had to open or close it. Then winter came and I closed and have essentially left it there.
Now it is time to start using it again, spring time moving things, trips to get gardening stuff, etc etc. I am having anxiety about pushing the button and seeing what happens. Have seen threads suggesting graphite and silicone and other things to help out with the tonneau and am seeking out the collective wisdom of this group as to how to start this back up again with the highest chance of successful open / close while awaiting the (hopefully s00n) final redesign and fix.
