PPF Ontario

With the promising post from the GTA Service Centre last week I am hoping my Jan 2020 reservation may be filled at the 4 year mark!

In anticipation of this I am starting to think about winter tires set up (which already has an number of threads) and PPF.

I haven’t seen any PPF threads for GTA/Ontario. I am thinking of Xpel Stealth or equivalent and chrome delete on my Launch Edition Glacier White RIS.

Anyone else considering PPF?

Any suggestions for PPF shops in Ontario?

I am ordering with the factory installed Front PPF option.
It seems to be a good value at 2000.

Down here in Niagara, I am considering a full ceramic coat. There are a couple places locally that do it. I've just been afraid to ask for a quote at this point.

After posting today I reached out to a number of shops in GTA and one in Ottawa (I live between them) they are all about $5500 for full body PPF. Much better than expected as many of the US threads on the topic quote more than that USD.

The hard part will be selecting a shop as they all seem to have good online reviews and lots of pictures of cars much more expensive than my R1S.

West Side Paint Protection (https://m.facebook.com/profile.php/?id=100054439662008) did the ppf and tint on my model Y. They did an awesome job. They are located in Oakville.

That price seems way too optimistic, especially for something as big as an R1S. I would take that price with a grain of salt. When I did just the front of my Model S last year, I paid $2500.

But if that price holds true, then yeah it is a good price.

Agreed. I paid a similar price for front PPF on my Tesla Model Y last year.

I opted for the Rivian installed front PPF on my R1S. It’s a fair price and should be delivered in a pristine state.

Ottawa call Getty automotive, they specialize in high end ppf wraps. They wrapped a full ford GT and you couldn't even tell was amazing.

FYI I got a quote from goldwing auto Care in Ottawa and it was $1700 taxes in for full front hood, fenders mirrors and bumper.

So less expensive than rivian by about $500 and wrapped edges and warranty.

They need to get an R1T to scan for their mats. And hope someone can get them one. I’ve been hoping to get a set of their mats for r1T. Please let me know if you can help them get a scan of your vehicle

Keep them coming, I opted out for the factory PFF as I saw some examples of the installation and I was not happy with the quality, on top of I really want a full wrap, not just front.

I hope someone can scan their R1S, so I can have a tuxmat as well, for our Canadian winter, the stock mud mat will not protect us from all that salt.
