If you are a new customer, the charger includes the base and the step down charger that connects to the OEM wiring. You need to supply the charging pucks. I currently recommend the magsafe chargers from apple, but we do have qi 2 chargers on order that I am looking forward to testing.

I ordered those myself from Anker, but they won't be here for a few weeks. I think it will fit in the slot for the pucks, but I won't have a way to hold them in place. The apple magsafe pucks are on sale on Amazon, I'd snag those. They are only a few dollars more per puck and available now.


edit: Just realized that they are available now from Amazon. I'll buy 'em and test fit it.

Yeah I was about to say on Amazon I can get them by tomorrow lol. I'll wait to hear how the test fit works for you before I order.

I was just about to say the same thing. I'd be super interested in two of these with the new Qi2 chargers. Should I just buy four Qi2 pucks on my own, and wait for your slightly modified version to incorporate those?

I'd buy the chargers now to grab them. If you haven't ordered already, by the time your order is produced it should be the new design. I plan on modifying it tomorrow as soon as I get the pucks.

It should be a mild redesign.

On the Anker qi 2 chargers topic. We are reaching out to Anker and seeing if we can become a reseller. I am also hoping the magnets are stronger than Apples as well.

I can't give that answer until I get the anker chargers. If they are not cross compatible, I am going to stick with the magsafe pucks as I know they are known quantity.

Ok. Got the anker chargers.... and they are way bigger than the Apple Magsfae ones. But David and I want to support qi2 and someone other than Apple. So I figured out a way to adapt the design to fit both. If you are one of the first 18'ish orders we are assuming you were ok with just the magsafe or JSAUX design (which btw works great and has no issues at all and charges at full wireless speed).

After that all the designs will be compatible with both the Anker qi2 charger, Apple Magsafe, and JSAUX pucks.

That was a fun challenge to pull off.

Edit: Due to the redesign my install video will be delayed by a day.

Larger size...interesting. So are the magnets any stronger than Magsafe and does it still work with current iPhones?

They feel slightly stronger, and yes all iphones beyond 11.
