Negative. No configuration email or anything. I should have said “I’m still in the same boat that you WERE in”.Just to be clear @JRK308 you did receive the "confirm you configuration" email? Last week?
Wow .. I can only hope that they rethink my R1S delivery as well. (I'm 317 mi. from my NC home to Richmond)Yep. This was the verbiage:
“The delivery window estimate in your Account has been temporarily set to “Processing new estimate” as we finalize plans for when we’ll have a Service Center in your area. We plan to update your Account with a delivery window in January 2023.”
Then boom- last week I received the “It’s time to confirm your configuration” email.
The truck is scheduled for delivery at 1:30 this Saturday.
Obviously, the North Carolina legislature didn’t over turn the dealer protection laws and Rivian built a service center here in the past month. So, who knows?
When I confirmed my config last week he stated that currently all R1Ts come with NO cover.Did all of you processing estimate folks get the email today about the tonneau getting changed to manual?
So I guess those that moved to the manual tonneau are still stuck in limbo? When I confirmed my config last week he stated that currently all R1Ts come with NO cover.
I believe the guide likely was just meaning that the manual cover isnt shipped until mid 2023. Having a manual cover should not delay your order. So I guess those that moved to the manual tonneau are still stuck in limbo?
@Hayden123982 is correct. I had the manual tonneau configured. My guide removed it. The slots in the bed are there so that the manual cover, purchased later in the Gear Shop, can be installed later. So I guess those that moved to the manual tonneau are still stuck in limbo?
I don't think it will matter if you remove it or not, pretty much any changes will give you the processing estimate. I don't think you lost your place in line, so I would expect to hear from a guide soon.I was Dec '22/January '23, and changed to processing estimate. I am located 30 minutes from the Service Center in Denver so it should not be located based (although the email makes it sound that way). I did add the PPF option when they sent that email out, so I wonder if that bumped me down the line or not. I am tempted to remove it and see if that changes anything before the next update in January. Aftermarket options are probably better anyway...
So most people have now received an updated delivery date. Some are happy, some are...less happy? As it's been said, it tough to start up a new car company, and yes Rivian has made some unforced errors along the way. I am still hopeful that the wait will be worth it.
But there is also a new group of people here who do not have a delivery window. The "processing estimate" people.
So I am trying to get an idea of why some people get this message. Is it just far from Service people? Just R1S people? Just certain configurations?
So if you are a PEP (you down with PEP, yeah you know me), and you want to share: let us know your order date, configuration, and location.
Thanks
[Order date is July 2019
R1s Forest green with forest interior.
added paint protection in October 2022 in response to an email. Mistake!!!
Delivery date given was July to September 2023.
Called and was like wtf.
They told me it was because I added paint protection it would be delayed.
I took that off and now am “ processing estimate. QUOTE]
