'Processing' to 'Review & Confirm' - Pickup in Another State

Hi All,

I live in New Mexico, where we don't yet have a Service Center. Like many at end of October I was moved to 'Processing' delivery status. I decided to switch my delivery address to Oakland, because I work there often. This morning I noticed I was assigned a guide and asked to review and confirm my delivery at the California Address.

I want to take delivery, but will I have to pay higher CA sales tax. Anyone, have other issues lately with Rivian on taking delivery in another state?

I’ve bought several vehicles out of state. They can transfer tax paid to residing state. That or you don’t pay the tax and you pay it at registration whether it be registered in CA or NM. Should work fine.

PS: I’ve bought in Idaho and Texas and live in CA.

that's encouraging! I'm in NM and changed my delivery address to Denver in hopes that they would change me from "processing estimate" to something else. I ordered in March of 2021 and have never come close to getting a delivery window estimate...
