Prospeed Racks for the R1T

@HAL9000 was able to get his wind noise issue resolved.
Not sure how he did it though.
@EVLander also has the rack and seems to have been able to resolve the wind noise problem.
Maybe one of them can give you some pointers.

After I mentioned the wind noise issue on instagram, prospeedrack reached out to me and we had a great conversation about the wind noise. There's a few things going on. They have some edge trim in testing that should alleviate it a lot. My roof is lower than most (yay earlier rivian build tolerancing?).

Most of my complaints above are really nitpicky: I work in hardware manufacturing and have a borderline obsessive eye for details.

I'm communicating with prospeedrack about the wind noise and they're super active on helping find a solution. Cool company to work with.

I noticed a pretty huge reduction in a high frequency hiss that was likely caused by the small gap between the fairing and the roof. This removed that entirely. Don't get me wrong, there's still some small wind noise, but that's definitely caused by me bolting a bunch of extrusion to my roof. Some edge trim goes a long way to remove the annoying part of the wind noise.

Prospeedrack also sent me another edge trim, that they're now selling on their site in case you want to reduce your own wind noise. I will be putting it on the rack and comparing probably Monday or Tuesday.

Very happy with the rack. Lights will be going onto it very soon, but for now it just has traction boards. With the truck as pictured I get right at 2mi/kwh cruising on the highway. Wind noise is well managed by the edge trim.

Has anyone ordered from ProSpeed recently and received their order? My Feb 24th bed rack order still hasn't moved. I reached out via email (no response) so tried Instagram:

March 18 - running a tad behind / a few weeks out, eta before early May, check back in 2 weeks
March 29 - in production, hoping to be ready in two weeks
April 15 - almost ready, finishing mounts
April 23 - no response
April 25 - no response
April 28 - awaiting deflectors, should ship next week (I don't see deflectors on the bed racks so I'm not sure what that's about)

I'm realizing the lack of communication as well from ProSpeed Rack - I'm hoping they are just busy getting product out/ready. I was told about 10 days ago to check in on Friday the 26th for a timing update, checked in the 26th, 29th, and today with no response. I'm hoping it is on track for our trip in about 2.5 weeks. Which given the last update from them they were waiting on the mounts to be finished - two weeks would put them middle of this upcoming week. I'm sure they are inundated with the spring rush...

Idk man they offered me a refund, I accepted it around 8am yesterday and I haven’t heard anything back. They told me they’re backed up and can’t catch up, and given I ordered in February I’m not optimistic. I am not willing to wait beyond my charge back period- too risky.

Thanks for the follow-up. I'm beyond the point of getting any other rack for our trip in two weeks, so I'm going to hang in there. But if we don't get it before the trip, then there isn't much reason to keep our order. We are doing a 4 week trip from Carlsbad to Glacier and about 10 NP's in between in the R1T.

I was waiting for the R1S version that was supposed to be out in December and then it was delayed and delayed. I went with Prinsu and received it in 3 weeks from order date and have been very happy with it.

Prospeed ended up reaching out a few different times and worked to get the rack to me in time for our trip. They were waiting on the 50" wind deflector, which wouldnt be here until after we left. Therefore, he threw a 49" wind deflector in the box so we could have it in time for the trip, they even expedited shipping. That put it right at the 8 week mark from order to received. They will be sending the 50" next week. All good and glad I stuck with it.

I'm glad you got it sorted! I had ordered a bed rack from them - still no response from them. I ordered a bed rack from Range Industries and it's being delivered Monday.
