Take a video or pictures when it is pinging but no vehicle is showing on the screen.

The first service center I took my truck to gave me same runaround, wouldn't work on truck because of my running boards. I drove down to the next service center and talked to the foreman. He told me there would be no issue with my running boards. He also stated that improper installation or missing sensor caps is a known problem with that sensor. If there is another SC nearby, I would talk to them first. If he says "no worries, we can fix that," then make an appointment with that SC. Good Luck!

This is the same thing that happened to me. My right rear sensor was always pinging when nothing was there. I took it to the service center. Same issue. One of the end caps was missing or installed incorrectly. Took less than an hour to fix. Now all my sensors seem to be working correctly.

I have the same issue with my right rear sensor when it rains (PNW, so it rains a bit..). It alerts when nothing is there and then will randomly clear or will clear when a car passes on the right...and then it will randomly alert again later...Reported to Rivian but they didn't seem to understand or think it was a problem. I hate to take it in if they are going to stick me with an ICE minivan again for a week... I may try again with this message solution.. (2026 R1T Gen2, dual with Large Battery)

Been getting a lot of false alarms on my truck thsi week. Thought it was the car wash water sitting around so I gave it a few days. They persisted. Checked the front sensors, and two of them have paint peeling off exposing raw metal underneath. Wondering if this is my issue.

Add it to the list for service visit #20 coming up here shortly.
