Difficult to say as I've never gone from 100% to 0% all at once. Based on what I've seen, it's probably about 220-240 miles. I've done several 500+ mile road trips with my R1S. I usually stop to charge every 2 hours or so. It charges fairly quickly. Unless you have a large bladder that can last 3+ hours, it probably won't make much difference... Unless you can't charge at home or have a specific trip in mind where you need to be able to do it all in one go.
This is not a simple question. You should include some idea of the ambient temperature and road conditions as well as max speed. Will you be running A/C or heat?I’ve seen a 30% difference between winter range and summer range. I’ve also seen a major difference between 60 and 75MPH on highways. There also a huge difference between totally flat, mild hills, and mountain roadways. Rim size and tires matter. The car doesn’t estimate very well if the past conditions don’t match your upcoming travel. So plan smart, and base your expectations on your actually driving conditions and your own car’s past performance under similar conditions. If you can keep your efficiency above 2.7 you’ll probably exceed the rated range. It it’s below 2 you’ll probably be disappointed.
I agree. Just leased my 2026 R1T and here in northeast it’s been unseasonably cold and was concerned when a 3 mile round trip to the supermarket dropped my range by 10 miles. But I do enjoy the drive and how can one not have a lead foot when there are so many ponies just begging to be set free!
The issue I have is that I cannot see how many KWH I used for propulsion and how many for everything else. The app’s energy dashboard has a lot to be desired.
