Thank you. I bet it will be over by the time I get there.Have had a lot of thunderstorms here in Michigan lately. One going on right now.
Nah I was too busy drinking my electrolytesMy dude, have you seen the movie Idocracy?
You are doing the rational, logical thing - having it looked at by service. OP sold the vehicle, apparently without even investigating the problem or possible fixes. It is petty well documented at this point that this problem can frequently be solved. Not sure why all the hostility to the OP.
Stock my R1S got way too hot. Even with windsheild tint and front window tint it can hit 127 on an 80 degree day when parked. That’s not a thoroughly thought out design.
That wouldn't be as much of an issue if preconditioning or even driving it would bring that down quickly, but it doesn’t for me. Barely cool air comes out of my vents, high 60s when measured.
Taking my R1S in to have them look at the AC.
Why would the OP wait months for a service appointment, with no guarantee of a fix, when selling it at a profit immediately fixes everything and includes a bonus payout? You are doing the rational, logical thing - having it looked at by service. I think you may have mistakenly posted here instead of r/wallstreetbets?Instead I just buy a ton of $RIVN stock at $15 and $24 while laughing all the way to the bank in my R1S with ice cold AC.
In his words, this is why he would do so:Why would the OP wait months for a service appointment, with no guarantee of a fix, when selling it at a profit immediately fixes everything and includes a bonus payout?
I’m right where I belong with like minded enthusiast. Folks who like fast cars and nice things.I think you may have mistakenly posted here instead of r/wallstreetbets?
A sad story for sure.In his words, this is why he would do so:

I haven't read all of the responses, but I live in the DFW area, and for the past month my cab temp is 135+ when i leave work. I turn on the climate control 5-7 minutes before i leave and it makes a tremendous difference by the time i get in the truck to leave. Sorry your S didnt live up to expectations, but I love my R1T.I took delivery of my R1S in April after an 18 month wait. I absolutely love the driving, ride and performance of the vehicle. However I just sold it (for more than I paid for it) due to the extreme heat in the cab and the poor AC. We do not have covered or shaded parking at my office and when I would go out to lunch the cabin temperature was routinely above 130. It would not cool down on my drive to lunch or the 15 min home from work. The compressor also continually whined which was annoying. No Apple Car Play or XM radio were also factors. This is just not a car for Florida until improvements are made to the AC and adding a sunshade to the sunroof. I hate losing the car but I hope to buy another one once these improvements happen..
We have also not noticed any significant heat radiating from the glass roof unless you put your hand directly on the glass. Six inches away it's barely noticeable. All stock, no mods.Let me end this thread and prove how much of a nothingburger this is.
100 degree temps outside. Sensor reads 106 and cabin temp is 59.
I have no tint. 100% stock.
temps in Orlando are 92 and Miami is 87.
Solid excuses bro for trying to fill up the piggy bank.
