I don’t think you can get an objective answer here. Are you asking for heat avoidance? Resale value? What looks best? Just look at the color options and choose the one you identify most with. I have a limestone coming this week and I’ve been watching videos of FG recently and thinking damn I wish I would’ve gotten that for whatever that’s worth lol.

I'd get the Limestone for a lighter shade. Don't get me wrong the deep green of Forest is a beautiful color. I just prefer a "cooler" shade, especially if dwelling in Tejas.

Limestone looks better with the ocean coast in my opinion, the forest edge looks pretty green where it looks more grey with the forest green exterior. Some people like it though, I dig the brown wood but haven regretted limestone/oc -

I like both of those options a lot. They both would result in a very nice looking vehicle. I think that if had had to make that choice, I would go with the Limestone.

I have a Forest Green R1S. It's beautiful when it's clean, but it shows a ton of dirt, almost as bad as black paint.

Those colors are not even close to similar, so it’s an odd comparison. What’s “best“ is whatever you like the best. Forest Green is a dark green that can look almost black in certain lighting. Limestone is a unique color. It’s more bluish is some light and gray in other light. If those were my choices I would go with the Limestone, but they are both nice colors.

I need to see LimeStone in person. I see so many different shades of limestone online.

If you’re close to a delivery (SC) location go visit then you can compare in person. I love our forest green because it spoke to me. Get whichever color speaks to you. You’ll be living with it for a while.

All of Rivian's colors look different in person IMO. And if you have the opportunity, try to see as many as you can more than once if you are someone who stresses about color choices. I chose Silver mainly because there was no upcharge, but I also ended up really liking it.

I wanted Red Canyon - and Forest Edge. But - after "locking" that configuration - Rivian decided to not make that combination. When I got access to the Store they only had Launch Green, Forest Green, and Black. <sigh> My wife strongly preferred FG so that's what we chose. I _love_ FE interior but would honestly prefer a lighter exterior - and one with actual "color". As mentioned above, FG is almost black and shows dirt readily. But my wife loves the FG exterior and the WAF is significant. So FG/FE works for us - but that is a pretty PNW-friendly combo. For Texas I'd go with a very light color AND an OC interior.

I like saturated colors, and went with the green. Very happy with it. It has small flecks of red in it if you look close, and in the setting sun it is really pretty. Plus, it makes my wife happy.

I will say I thought I was settled on Limestone, until I saw Forest Green in person. They are both great colors, but I ended up going with the FG/FE combo. I think the Limestone looks great with the FE interior also. I don't think you can go wrong with either. Almost all the colors look better in person than online IMO. There is great depth and subtleties with each color that's really hard to capture on camera. If you can, try to see the different colors in person. It completely changed what I originally thought about Forest Green.

Original pre-order for Limestone with Forest Edge interior. Agreed with others that mention to see the colors in person. I looked at LS and FG while in Denver and the LS just wasn't the color that seemed to "pop" on the R1. Ended up getting the FG/FE and have been very happy. I live in PHX and have not had an issue with the darker color. The FG will show more dirt so if you want an "easy keeper" maybe LS is better...

Enjoy whatever you decide on - we're 5 months in and are loving the R1S.
