If the attachment is too strong, it can rip your grille.

That's why I like SnapPlate. Annoying when it rips off (it hasn't for me), but the alternative is worse.

Best to all!

Don't use any of the ones that connect to your tow hooks if you plan to do any stream crossings. Some of those other ones also don't look solid for that use case.
Good advice. Even broader, the wigglier ones could simply be bumped off by someone parallel parking in front of you. In either case, I try to remind myself it’s wise to (1) look at the plate before you drive off from one of these scenarios, in case it’s sitting on the ground; (2) remove the plate ahead of time if that makes sense (the Random Nomz one I shared just uses two bolts, so that’s a 15-second effort); or (3) just screw the plate directly into the bumper like you’re supposed to 😉

Recently bought and installed the one from Random “Nomz”. I recommend it. Easy to use, well priced, and stable.

I do my own 3D printing and I would design mine a little different than that one so it doesn't rub on the bumper. That being said, I bought the Snapplate one and it also rubs slightly on the bumper.

The way that one mounts seems a little cheezy. And why did they use those types of screw heads instead of button heads! My OCD would go crazy!

IF I were to install one-this would be it. To introduce adventure in my otherwise mundane life, I have been driving without one.
This.

Live a little... No one's ever going to pull you over for it not being there, and if they try, just stomp on pedal on the right. It always makes them disappear after a moment or two...

You can buy some button head bolts if you want. It's a M5x20 ;) I also add felt to the underside so it doesn't rub directly on the bumper. Been up and down I-5 many times and no damage. Also a few 100mph+ runs in Mexico. Still there...

THANKS David for the pics. If anyone wants to try ours, I can knock 15% off — code is BUTTONHEAD
