I took my R1S into service to have the passenger side HVAC vent changed due to a rattle.
It was done in half a day which is great. Since it was warmer yesterday I drove straight home and parked it in the garage. Taking the car out this morning I have no heat and no fan control. Not good!

Hard reset didn’t fix it and I have a new service appointment set for Feb 6th as the soonest. Anyone know if there is a fuse for the blower motor I can check? It’s either that or the technician forgot to plug something back together. Thanks for any help you can lend it’s a pretty cold drive but seat heater and steering wheel heat helps.

Yeah that's no good. How far away is the service center. I have literally just showed up with a problem like that and asked them to look at it then. Its a safety concern in cold weather. Nothing has to be blown out of proportion until they don't get to you sooner.

It is the Portland, OR service center which has always been solid for me and they are 20 miles so not far. I think I will do that tomorrow morning and see what they can do. I have a family ski trip scheduled for next weekend so it would be a very cold drive I would like to avoid if possible.

Resolution! Took it to the Portland SC and my service rep took it back to a tech right away. What I suspected was true in it was a connector not properly seated. 10 minutes later I am driving out with heat. I also learned he proactively replaced my 12V battery since I was on the cusp of the builds where they were experiencing higher fail rates.

I tell my employees, while I do not like mistakes it is more important how you respond to them to make it right. I wish the Rivian Call Center would have advised me to bring it in to see if it was an easy fix. Thank you @SolartoEV for the suggestion! It saved me ski trip next week.

Great news. I know the feeling of wanting the truck for a trip
