I am thinking of getting the Prinsu rack on the R1S.

I saw a few pics of people have it installed. For those who has it, how's the noise? And efficiency impact?

Thanks.

Answered the efficiency question in the other thread.
As far as noise - i had a drone at 70 before adding the weather stripping; it’s now gone. (And that was with adding the 42” light bar)

Even like this below - wind noise was tolerable at 70-75 (didn’t need stereo at 20 or something silly, but I’m also not gonna track efficiency when obviously being ridiculous)

Did you get the cutout for a light bar, or just the standard one and mount it on a rail?

I have both - they sent the wrong fairing initially.
I’m using the cutout these days.

As long as it’s a true 42” and not 42” + casing width.
I have a 40” but it measures 42“ at the case, which is why I referred to it errantly as a 42”. And there is about another 1” on either side so you’d be able to fit probably up to 44” depending on the front/rear depth of the case.

Minus the kayak, with that setup you’re doing to average 1.4 to 1.6 mi/kWH winter roadtrip driving and 1.6 to 1.8 mi/kWH summer. I have something similar (see my profile pic).

I really like the look of the Prinsu over the front runner (what I have).

very curious, does that wind fairing have a rubber gasket that seals against the roof?

This is my last 800 miles in ~ 30° weather no preconditioning. 275/65r20 Scorps

Yes there is a sealing strip for the leading edge of the fairing on the Prinsu.
