R1S Rear Bumper Question

Question: Does anyone else have a fairly 'large' gap between their rear bumper and the drop hatch? I just noticed it earlier today when walking by...I could see the innards of the vehicle right above the rear bumper where I'd maybe expect a piece of rubber/protection?

Yup. Need that space for the tailgate to be able to swing down and not hit the bumper.
