R1s sunroof heat vs tesla model 3

Tesla makes their own glass. I believe the Tesla has IR heat rejection in their glass. Rivian clearly has not much IR heat rejection. I put Llumar Air 80 on all the privacy glass (roof, sides, back) and windshield on the R1S. This seems to have helped cut the heat and reflect the sun away from the car. Will know more with testing

Tesla buys its glass from Saint Gobain.

Went for the large RV window shade for the roof. Only looks bad if your looking up at it. It will work until a teal shade is available

It does not fit perfect but it works. I’ve tried to get the wrinkles out by steaming and which helped a little bit but when I’m driving I’m not looking up at it. The shade definitely does keep the R1S cooler. Here’s a link to Amazon. It’s the extra extra large and there are 2 shades. You can use the extra one for reflector if you’re photographing.

I recently put 20% silver reflecting tint on outside on the roof and it's been keeping the inside cool under this texas heat really well. Only cost me about $50 and looks better than a huge shade on the roof.
