R1S: Time between config lock and VIN/8 steps?

Happy to report that I received the email to confirm my configuration today. Immediately confirmed and saw that I had a guide assigned, too. For those who've already taken delivery or are in the purchase/delivery process, how long did it take to get your VIN/8 steps once you confirmed your config?

It took me 5 months from confirming configuration (April 2022) to getting 8 steps unlocked (Sept. 30, 2022).

Did that delay have something to do with the fact that they pushed back delivery windows again after April?

Just got the VIN and 8 steps. That was fast!

Yes. In April I was originally told delivery should be expected in May. Then the delivery windows were pushed back and I was given an Oct.-Dec. 2022 window.

Congratulations! My Guide told me 4-6 weeks from VIN assignment, so the wait is almost over.

7 days from confirm email to delivery! Likely bc I am in Chicago and was very flexible with color and options. Also paid cash.

Went from email, steps completed to delivery in less than three weeks. Email : aug 30
delivery : sept 20. Erik was my guide. He was AWESOME. Great communication and support.
