R1T accident prevention

Had a very close call the other day, the R1T definitely did its thing and saved me from an accident. Wheels did not lock up was able to stop in 2-3 sec. I did swerve, bit it did not fish tail it's hard to explain how the truck just like grabbed the pavement and very impressed with the stopping capabilities.
check out the video front view and right side view follows. I had a green light and there was an accident already present.

Wow, glad you’re safe. That was almost a head on collision. I think being attentive and having the skills is what got you out of the near-missed, 15% for Rivian.

Did the Rivian apply any steering input or just brakes?

I do drive quite a bit for my line of work so I do agree my reflexes helped, however I felt the R1T reacted way diffrent than my work truck would have. My Chevy Colorado WT would have locked up and skidded, IMO. Thank you for the reply and input ?

I slowed down to about 25 mph on a 40mph zone and was 2 lanes over from the police activity seems fast on the camera no explanation for that. I did pull over and talked with one of the officers we both went over the truck to check for damage he and my self did not hear a collision at the time of incident however another officer took off after the other vehicle because they didn't to bother to stop at all. Once we checked over my vehicle for no damage he said I was clear to go and said other vehicle failed to yield because I had a green light. Thank you for the reply ?

No steering response from the R1T from what I can tell it happend so fast, I did swerve to the left my self and also manually applied brakes, I did feel brake regen kick in I'd say 1 second before I applied brakes with my foot, that could of very well been what saved me. Overall impressive but don't wish that situation on anyone, Rivian owner or not it was pretty scary. Thank you for your input and reply ?

Thanks for sharing. What with the cost of the truck and all the little odd things we post about, It’s good to hear how the truck really can perform!
