Got to 80,000 miles on 12/2002 R1T - no issues / problems!

Range is down a couple percent fron day one. Ask me what the HP and torque was after 80,000 miles on my 2003 M3 when I had it! Most of the charging via home L2 charger - thousands of miles of L3 charging on many trips as far as Texas and Colorado from my SoCal home.

How was HP on your 2003 M3? Did you put super unleaded in it?

Wish there were aftermarket parts for these types of things. Rivian charges a lot for their OEM

Did you look into after warranty options? I think Rivian offers one that also covers the suspension. I heard of XCare too but not sure if they cover the supension

They do and this is one of the major reasons I recommend getting an extended warranty on these things. They can very easily pay for themselves.

I just learned of xcare and will check them out.

that's already 4k in parts... suprised this stuff isn't restricted to regular buyers (non-certified shops) while anything drivetrain related seems to be restricted/unavailable.

$5,700. To replace the from Dampers. Vehicle has 69,000 miles and 4 years old. Love everything about it, except this.

Was this with new replacements? I've been told they are working through the process of offering remanufactured items to bring this cost down. Not sure if that was the case for you.

Best warranties out there don't make up for having the closest SC still 3 hours away after almost 4 years. Was really hoping this would get resolved by now.

Yesterday, I noticed that my 12/2002 R1T had just reached 80,000 miles! I do drive it a lot

But contrary to the usual web chatter, this truck has been amazingly reliable. A brake fluid change at 75K along with a wheel alignement due to Poughkeepsie Creek in CO and that’s it for repairs.

My truck bed top did need replacing but that was partly my fault !

Tires? Original 21 Pirellis lasted 35K then I bought 20 inch offroad wheels and BFG KO2s that I’m still using and then 21 inch Michelin LTXs which are still good. Most of the miles were highway with a sprinkling of offroad - some really bad - roads.

All in all. A great vehicle that I expect to last for hundreds of thousands of miles. A R3X is likely in my future two

Currently just at 74,500 at 2.5 years, no issues on my end. No true off roading yet, but plan on taking the 21in. road tires out for a test. Most of the miles have been between Dallas and Arkansas with the occasional trip to Nebraska and Chicago. Everything from interior to exterior, still feels brand new.

With the brake fluid coming up, I was just curious as to what I can expect cost wise.

None of them cover it after the fact. You have to own the extended warranty before it becomes a diagnosed issue ….
