Each one has a unique sound paired with it, which is a neat little demo but I also hope they open up a custom palette. I don't need ambient noise curated for each color scheme.

Sure, they could. But they could have in R1 as well, and have not even though they've had 4 years to do so.

Meh, more important to you maybe, but you don't run the company.

Departure charging you can do yourself trivially. I do this all the time when I want to hit 100% right before I leave on a long trip.

Ambient lighting, on the other hand, you have no work-around for. What we have now is better than what we had when the R1 first shipped, which was white only. We didn't even know that the LED lights could do colors until they released the first Halloween mode.

I don't need either feature, but I'm glad for any improvements Rivian wants to make to the software.

I don't think the R1 has the processing power to enable such an advanced function.

The G1 no but the G2 yes. It's not a priority as they have other more important items to resolve.
