As we've all been saying for years now, the EPA test cycle is completely unrealistic regarding modern driving speeds/styles and high and low temperatures encountered across our huge country.

3.7mi/kWh? Maybe on a 78 deg day with no wind, no inclines and driven at a steady 50mph. Real world, not a chance IMO.

Agreed. There's a big difference between in-town driving on a nice summer day and highway speeds in the cold while raining.

Truth. Here in SoCal if you drive posted limit on interstates, you are creating traffic jams.

Truth. Here in SoCal if you drive posted limit on interstates, you are creating traffic jams.
It's no different here... posted speed limit is still the old 55mph on Long Island. If you try to drive that speed on the Long Island Expressway you'll get run off the road even if you're in the right lane (on the 3-lane Expressway).
