Hello!

Do any R2 owners know the maximum insertion depth for the tow hitch? I'm looking at a few different bike rack options for the 2" receiver and some of them have minimum required insertion depths into the hitch. I can't seem to find any detailed specs on the hitch from Rivian, other than it being Class III hitch.

I have a delivery date of 8/14 and trying to get my bike rack order lined up this week so I can hit the trails ASAP!

It's deeper than I can even put my quickr stuff rack and still fold it up.

That's awesome! I was also looking at getting a QuickR rack, but it has a pretty long minimum insertion and wanted to confirm it would fit before I shelled out the money.

Are both anti-rattle plates able to engage? Are you also able to get the spring-loaded hitch pin into the hitch or just it just sit in front of the receiver flange?

Thanks again, this is exactly what I needed!

Yes and yes, it's in the pin hole. I had to adjust it quite a bit though.

Please don’t show this to anyone else, apparently there’s a contingent here that doesn’t believe anyone is going to take the R2 off-road as it can only travel ~100 miles from a charger…🤣

2 bikes behind my R1T and there's about a 10-15% "Bike Rack Tax" on efficiency. I'd be curious with that R2 with 4 bikes + RTT + awning.
