R2 sightings

With the upcoming release of the R2, have there been any sightings of the test models in Louisiana ? We do not own a Rivian yet but have been following its design and awaiting the R2. The R1S we test drove was an awesome experience but feel it’s too large for our needs. I think seeing the R2 in person will be the final decision to pull the trigger and purchase.

IMO your best chance to see an R2 up close and personal is to catch it at the Rivian Space closest to you (they don’t have a space in LA yet). If you sign up to get notified of events at the space nearest to you, they will let you know when it comes through next time. I do believe that at least one R2 concept that was on tour was damaged in transit - not sure how many existed.

There are several threads here in the forum with pics taken by members who visited those tour stops, and even size comparisons that can help you get an idea how it stacks up next to an S. I saw it in Denver when it came through and can say it’s a really nice size IMO.

To find those threads I would do a title search for ‘R2’ and see where it takes you.

We got to see the R2 on tour in the San Francisco area. So far it is very much like the R1S but without the air suspension, and of course smaller. It should be slightly smaller than my Jeep Grand Cherokee and slightly larger than my wife's Jeep Cherokee, which is the perfect size for our needs!

If nothing else, put your $100 deposit down on an R2 if you haven't done so already. It's fully refundable, but more importantly it will put you in the queue.
