They both have the lettering but I am working with the vendor based on this feedback. Would like to do a video on the R1S install. I hope to have more info soon.

Thank you all for your honest feedback.
Got a few more questions, if you don't mind:

1. How do these compare to RMaxx (EV Sportline) Running Boards
2. Are these in stock and ready for delivery
3. Where are they made-USA
4. Is the ground clearance better or same as EV Sportline
5. Where can we get better installation video

Cheers!

Nice work on the cut outs!! What did you use to make the cuts?
The vendor and manufacturer were no help with templates even when I showed them competitor’s templates. They sent me a screenshot of some templates but never a PDF file of templates. I measured and remeasured before I made my cuts with a table saw.

@240vPlug Just want to inform you that the T55 is NOT the correct Head for removing those bolts. It will strip them out. The correct heat is a TP55 (Tourqe Plus). You want to update your video or lay an updated banner in your video so people don't wreck thier car doing the installation.

Thanks for pointing this out. Torx is perfectly safe to use on TP according to the following Stanley tools PDF. I will post something on the video indicating this though.

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...EQFnoECAcQBg&usg=AOvVaw2sfTLhyfsneTuWyJL2JcLp

From Page 3 of the above PDF

"TORX Drive tools can be used to remove and reinstall TORX PLUS"
Understand but it’s not as secure and since those bolts are TP 55 as called out in the owners manual , by Rivian Service techs and so tight in the frames they run a much higher risk of stripping them out if using a traditional T55 head. It’s easily worth the $10 on Amazon to get the TP55 and make sure you don’t strip it out. Just putting this out there for all to make sure they are aware

Good job on the video. Do the installed running boards change access to the lift points?

I don’t mind the R1T/R1S cutouts in theory, but suggest two changes:
  • Change the font
  • Only one cutout per side
