I think when the vehicle is unlocked the camp speaker (or drawer tray) will be unlocked as well. You can go into the menu to lock it when the vehicle is unlocked but next time you unlock the drawer will unlock as well. At least this is how my R1S works with the locking drawer I have from a different vendor.

That's not how this drawer works. It locks every time you insert it and won't unlock unless you go through the settings-connect menu.

Also, the option to unlock is dimmed when driving, so can't unlock it when driving.

Which drawer do you have? That sounds more like what I need.

I placed an order for several items, including the lockable camp speaker drawer on Amazon on 8/15. The other items came in a few days, but not the BestEVMod drawer. The only information I can find is an 8/18 note that "the package is delayed in transit."

Can you shed any light on what may be going on? I don't want to simply cancel the order and loose the discounted pricing.

From all of these pics, assuming that people are just looking to have the weapon on-hand vs being “drawable”. Fumbling around for it at point-of-need looks a little problematic.

Not sure about PA, but Colorado recently joined California in requiring double locking of guns, ie, storage in a locked container if left in a locked car.

Given that R1's don't have a lockable glove box, this is really one of the only options unless you don't use your center console for anything else (the center console locks when you lock the car and walk away).

Ideally, I would like to install one of these but haven't figured out a good place that's out of sight
