Huh, we didn’t have that issue with 2+ feet of snow in the recent blizzard 2 weeks ago.Making them round wouldn't change that.

While not an exact match, these newer BMW angular kidney grills have reminded me of two coffins standing up side-by-side since the first time I saw them. The cars less so than the SUVs. Still, I think I’d avoid designing a vehicle with a shape so close to something associated strongly with death. I rationalize it by assuming they’re just in Halloween mode 100% of the time. Are you telling me you do not like a car that looks like a beaver? LOL

True. Also reminds me of a moth. While not an exact match, these newer BMW angular kidney grills have reminded me of two coffins standing up side-by-side since the first time I saw them. Good. I probably wouldn't be able to decipher it anyhow.I don't believe I will.

I think the narrow stadium lights look funny. A shorter fatter stadium light I like. That picture I just quickly edited. I agree with some on the forum that the stadium light is a sort of identifier but Rivian will eventually soften the look to something a little more mainstream.I kinda dig that, but subtly embed “Rivian” into a full-span light bar…oh yeah and put a clock on my primary display!! Haha
So far neither do yours.Your posts contribute nothing to the thread, but thanks for participating
Well, most of us have grown accustomed to them, and there seems to be quite a variety of options available to Riv design teams. Until CEO and has chosen focus group agree that a change would be welcomed, the unique configuration is likely to stay. JMHO, of course.I think the narrow stadium lights look funny. Snappy comeback! Haha..let’s let it go.So far neither do yours.
Ugly is on the eye. I actually like the headlights on my R1S. A lot.I truly believing that if Rivian came out with a round headlight similar to the Jeep Wrangler they would have pulled a lot more customers. Everyone I talk to love the truck except for the headlights. I feel the same. Rivian please change them. If you do I will sell my Tesla and buy a Rivian.
It's more when the temperatures are right in that sticky snowy slushy range, like 28-35F. Below that , the snow won't really stick since the energy imparted on it by the vehicle isn't enough to melt it before it's blown off. Above that and it just stays melted. I'd say most of the time I've been in a real blizzard it's typically too cold for the melt.Huh, we didn’t have that issue with 2+ feet of snow in the recent blizzard 2 weeks ago.
I think that's way worse than current design.Still prefer ChatGPT's take on the lights:

Hasn't stopped me from buying a Rivian, I just don't like the way they look. It's not a deal breaker.“Terrible” is a subjective and minority opinion as the poll OP quoted proves. In other words if you don’t like them, don’t buy a Rivian.
The Jeep headlights look “terrible“ to many. The BMW grill looks “terrible” to many. It hasn’t stopped them from succeeding.
Great point. Remember that if you ever find one that confirms the headlights are disliked by a majority of those polled.Hasn't stopped me from buying a Rivian, I just don't like the way they look. It's not a deal breaker.
Also many articles have already been written about the polarizing look of the headlights. Fun fact, the sampling of opinion polls can source bias.
